E-Khata
Overview
E-Khata is the digital property ownership record issued by the BBMP (now GBA) for properties within Bengaluru's urban limits. It replaces the old paper-based Khata and is now mandatory from October 2024 for paying property tax, applying for building plan approvals, getting a home loan, and registering a sale. Without a valid E-Khata, you cannot legally transact your property.
