BESCOM Name Change
Overview
BESCOM Name Change is the process of updating the electricity consumer record from the previous owner’s name to the new owner’s name. After buying or inheriting a property, this is one of the essential steps to establish your ownership in utility records. Without it, electricity bills continue in the previous owner’s name, which can create complications with your housing society, home loan lender, or during property resale. Since April 2025, BESCOM allows name changes online within GBA limits. Vault manages the entire submission and follow-up on your behalf.
